How referrals work

Every Runtil account is a referrer from the moment it exists. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to switch on — you already have a link.

Share it however you like. When someone creates a Runtil account through your link and trades, you earn a share of the fee they pay on each trade. You can find your link, and change the code in it, on the referrals tab of your profile.

How much you earn depends on your tier, and your tier depends on how much the people you referred have traded:

• Base — every user, from your first referral: 20% of the fee.
• Scale — from $50,000 of referred volume: 60% of the fee.
• Partner — by application only: 300% of the fee, and the people you refer trade with no fee at all. See the Partner tier.

A tier applies to trades made after you reach it — earnings already recorded are not recalculated. Tiers never go down on their own.

Referred volume is what the people you referred stake on their trades — the amount they put up, not the amount they could win. A trade of 100 contracts at 40¢ counts as $40 of volume, not $100.

Referral earnings are paid on-chain in USDC, straight to your wallet — they are not credit or points.

• Payments are batched and sent about once a day.
• There is a small minimum per payment. Anything below it carries forward to a later run rather than being lost.
• Every payment has a transaction you can check on-chain, listed on the payouts tab.

Clicking your link leaves a marker in that person's browser for up to 90 days. If they then create a new Runtil account in that same browser, they are credited to you.

• Only new accounts count — someone who already has a Runtil account cannot become your referral.
• The most recent link clicked before signing up wins.
• It depends on their browser. Clearing cookies, private browsing, or signing up on a different device can mean no credit is recorded.

We cannot reconstruct or reassign attribution afterwards, so it is worth telling people to sign up in the same browser they clicked from.

Partner is the top tier: your referrals pay no trading fee at all, and you earn triple what they would have paid. It is granted by application rather than reached by volume — read how it works and how to apply.
